Residential ServicesGlazed Roof Lights
Light from above transforms a room in a way windows cannot: a kitchen extension, a dark landing or a bathroom all change character under a rooflight. The catch is that a rooflight lives in the toughest spot on the house, flat to the weather.
AGS design, manufacture and install glazed rooflights and roof lanterns to order, from single fixed units to walk-under runs of structural glass.
Why Choose Glazed Rooflights for Your Home?
Rooflights brighten the middle of a plan where windows cannot reach, open views to the sky and reduce how much artificial light you use. Opening versions add ventilation, letting warm air out exactly where it collects.
What separates a good rooflight from a future leak is specification and detailing: the glass has to carry real wind and snow loads, the upstand has to drain, and overheating has to be thought about before summer proves the point. We settle all of it before manufacture.
Our Glazed Rooflights
Every rooflight is made to measure. On larger spans we adjust the glass thickness to the loads it must carry, and where the design wants one clean run of glass we support it with glass beams instead of bulky aluminium mullions.
Electric opening rooflights add ventilation at the touch of a switch. Tell us about the room below and we will recommend the rooflight that suits it, not the biggest one we can sell.
A large rooflight exposed to significant sunlight may need solar-control glass to prevent unwanted heat building up in the room. The larger and more ambitious the rooflight, the more the details matter: structure, drainage, glass specification and how the glass will actually be installed.
