Commercial ServicesGlass Balustrading
A balustrade is a safety barrier first and a design feature second. In a commercial building it has to take real crowd loads, meet Building Regulations and keep doing both for decades, while staying almost invisible.
AGS design, manufacture and install frameless glass balustrades for offices, retail and hospitality spaces: staircases, mezzanines, terraces and balconies, engineered for the loads they will actually see.
Why Choose Glass Balustrading for a Commercial Property?
Glass keeps sightlines open. A shop floor, atrium or stair core stays light and readable, and the architecture does the talking rather than the barrier. Toughened or laminated safety glass provides the strength; the transparency is what makes it worth choosing.
The engineering is where balustrades succeed or fail. The applied load depends on how the space is used, the fixing depends on what the glass lands on, and the glass specification follows from both. We design each system against the specific loads and fixings of your building, not a generic assumption.
Our Commercial Glass Balustrading
Our frameless balustrades are designed to UK Building Regulations, with minimum heights of 900 mm on stairs and 1,100 mm on balconies and terraces, and glass specified to meet the applied loads of the space: office stair cores, retail mezzanines, external terraces.
Every system is made to measure and engineered for its fixing condition. If a detail will not perform, we will say so at survey and design something that will.
