Residential ServicesAluminium Sliding Doors
Big glass, slim frames and a door that glides on one finger: a sliding door done well is the quietest luxury in a house. Done badly, it is a heavy door on a poor track with a draught at the corner.
AGS manufacture and install aluminium sliding doors to order, on track systems engineered for the weight of the glass they carry.
Why Choose Aluminium Sliding Doors for Your Home?
Sliding doors keep the largest glass and the slimmest sightlines of any door type, so the view stays put even when the doors are closed. Panels stack behind each other, needing no swing clearance inside or out.
The honest trade-off against a bifold: a slider never opens the full width. If you want the wall to disappear, we will point you at bifolds. If you want the biggest glass and the cleanest line, a slider wins. Thermally broken frames keep the door insulated, secure and weathertight year-round.
Our Aluminium Sliding Doors
We build sliding doors on proven Schüco and Cortizo systems in 2-pane, 3-pane and 4-pane configurations: fixed and sliding panels arranged to suit the opening, up to all panels sliding for the widest connection.
Every door is made to measure, with glass weight, track detail and threshold worked out at survey, because that is what decides how the door feels in year ten, not just on day one.
If you want frames disappearing into floors, walls and ceilings, or a completely flush transition between inside and outside, involve us early. Structure, drainage, finished floor levels and weather exposure all influence what’s appropriate. Done properly, much of the frame can virtually disappear into the building.
