Systems We SpecifyExlabesa Aluminium Systems

Modern aluminium without the premium price.

Not every homeowner needs the most technically advanced aluminium system available. Many simply want modern windows and doors that look good, perform properly and fit within a sensible budget.

That is where Exlabesa comes in.

Designed for Modern Homes

Its domestic range offers the clean appearance, slim frames and large areas of glass people expect from contemporary aluminium, without the cost associated with more specialised systems. For homeowners who want aluminium but still need to keep control of the overall project budget, Exlabesa can be an excellent choice.

Most people choosing aluminium want the same fundamental things. They want more glass, less frame and a clean contemporary finish. They want windows and doors that feel solid, operate smoothly and require very little maintenance.

Exlabesa offers a broad range of domestic aluminium systems designed around those everyday requirements. Depending on the project, this can include:

  • Aluminium casement windows.
  • Tilt-and-turn windows.
  • Contemporary entrance doors.
  • Sliding doors.
  • Lift-and-slide doors.
  • Bi-folding doors.
  • Internal steel-look glazing and room divider systems.
  • Fixed glazing.
  • Double and triple glazing.
  • Low-threshold options.
  • Slim contemporary sightlines.
  • Heritage and steel-look window designs.
  • A wide choice of colours and finishes.

That gives us the flexibility to create a complete aluminium package across the home without moving into a higher price bracket unnecessarily.

Good Design Where You Can See It

Choosing a more affordable aluminium system should not mean accepting something that looks cheap. Exlabesa has invested heavily in the appearance of its domestic products, including slim window frames, narrow sliding-door interlocks, refined bi-folding-door profiles and contemporary steel-look internal glazing systems that offer an affordable alternative to traditional Crittall-style screens.

For the right home, the finished result can look every bit as sharp and contemporary as far more expensive systems. The difference is usually found in the extreme sizes, specialist configurations and higher levels of technical performance that some projects require, not in whether the finished windows and doors look good.

Everything Most Homes Actually Need

One of the biggest mistakes in glazing is paying for performance or capability the building will never use. A typical home does not need doors designed for enormous commercial openings or windows engineered around the demands of a high-rise building.

It needs products that meet the relevant requirements, keep the weather out, help retain heat, provide suitable security and continue operating properly. Exlabesa develops and tests its systems for the UK market, including independent testing for weather resistance and compliance with British standards. For many domestic projects, it provides everything the home genuinely needs.

Why We Recommend Exlabesa

We recommend Exlabesa when a homeowner wants the appearance and practical benefits of aluminium but does not want to spend more than the project justifies. It is particularly well suited to extensions, renovations, replacement windows and doors, and new homes where the budget still matters.

There will be projects where another system offers capabilities Exlabesa cannot provide. When that happens, we will explain why. But where Exlabesa meets the sizes, performance requirements and design intent of the home, there may be little benefit in paying significantly more simply for a different badge.

Our Process

Good glazing starts with good decisions.

Every glazing project is different, but the way we approach them is consistent. Our process is designed to make the important decisions early, when they are easier and less expensive to resolve.

We specify aluminium systems that best suit the building, the budget and the long-term expectations for the project.

01

1. Initial Conversation

Tell us about your project. Whether you have drawings, planning approval or simply an idea, we’ll listen first and ask the questions that need answering before recommending anything. If you’re a new client, we recommend visiting our factory early on to meet the team and see how we work.

02

2. Quote & Cost Options

Using the information you’ve provided, together with any drawings, we’ll prepare a detailed quotation clearly setting out what’s included and any exclusions. Unless a particular system has already been specified, we’ll recommend the one we believe best suits the project’s design, performance requirements and budget.

03

3. Order & Site Survey

Once an order has been placed, we’ll arrange a site survey. Our surveyors establish datums, measure structural openings and confirm the agreed details. We’ll also work with your builder or contractor to resolve any outstanding issues before manufacture begins. Access, logistics and installation considerations are assessed at this stage, helping prevent expensive problems later.

04

4. Drawings

We’ll produce a full set of working drawings for approval. These incorporate the agreed survey details and, where required, reference site datums so structural elements provided by others are clearly identified and dimensioned.

05

5. Procurement & Manufacture

Once the drawings have been approved, we’ll procure the materials and begin manufacture. We’ll then confirm the expected installation date to suit your construction programme.

06

6. Professional Installation

Before installation begins, we prepare site-specific Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Lift Plans where required. Our experienced installation teams carry out the work safely and in accordance with the approved drawings. We don’t rush work simply to move on to the next job.

07

7. Completion & Aftercare

Once installation is complete, we’ll inspect the finished work, make sure you’re happy with the result and remain available if you need us afterwards. Where applicable, operation and maintenance manuals will also be provided.

For our new-build project, we needed a reliable company to design, manufacture and install all the aluminium glazing. AGS took full ownership of the package, liaising with our architect and builder. Paul Hopworth 5 ★

We’re absolutely delighted with the glazing supplied and fitted by AGS. From the first survey to final sign-off, communication was clear and responsive. They went the extra mile to resolve a last-minute design change without delaying the project. The doors operate beautifully, feel solid, and the overall finish is outstanding

Peter Guilbert 5 ★

We wanted something a bit special – big slim-framed sliders, a glazed roof and frameless balustrades. AGS talked us through Schuco and Cortizo options and gave sensible advice on budget. The end result is amazing; loads of light, everything feels really solid and the neighbours keep asking who did it
