Commercial ServicesStructural Glazing
Structural glazing removes the frame from the equation: glass bonded or fixed directly to the structure, so the facade reads as one uninterrupted surface. It is the most demanding glazing there is, because there is no cap or cover to hide a tolerance problem.
AGS design, supply and install structural glazing for retail, commercial and hospitality buildings. Some of our most demanding retail work, including security glass panels weighing hundreds of kilograms, has been structural glass built to the millimetre.
Why Choose Structural Glazing for a Commercial Property?
Where the design wants no visible framing at all, structural glazing is the answer. Glass carries the visual load, light floods the floor plate and the elevation makes the statement the architect intended, in an office, a flagship store or a hotel frontage.
The price of that clean face is precision. Setting out, deflection, bonding, glass weight and handling all have to be right first time, and access for replacement has to be thought about before the first panel goes in. This is exactly the work our retail background trained us for: environments where there is nowhere to hide.
Our Commercial Structural Glazing
Every structural glazing package is designed for the specific building: glass specification, fixings, interfaces and a handling plan, using proven systems and glass processors we trust. Where panels are large or heavy, we plan the lift with the right kit, from glazing robots to mini-cranes.
Send us your drawings and we will tell you what is achievable, what it will weigh and what it will take to install safely.
Examples of this work: curved structural glass for Beaverbrooks, structural glass and stainless at Apple Watford and a residential structural glazing project at Rothwell.
