Residential ServicesCurtain Walling
Some houses call for more glass than windows can deliver: double-height hallways, garden-facing extensions, whole elevations that want to be open. That is curtain walling territory, and it is engineering, not just glazing.
AGS design, supply and install aluminium curtain walling for homes, using the same systems and the same discipline we bring to commercial facades.
Why Choose Curtain Walling for Your Home?
Curtain walling spans floor to floor with slim aluminium framing, so a double-height space or open-plan extension gets floor-to-ceiling glass and a genuinely uninterrupted view. Thermally broken profiles keep the wall of glass warm, weathertight and quiet.
Because the facade carries real wind loads and has to drain and move correctly, the design work matters more than the product. Deflection, fixings and the interfaces with roof and structure are decided at survey, which is exactly where we start.
Our Curtain Walling
Our curtain walling is made to measure in 35 mm, 50 mm and 60 mm profiles on proven Schüco and Senior Architectural Systems, configured to the design and structural requirements of your project. Double glazing achieves a centre-pane U-value of 1.0 W/m²K; triple glazing reaches 0.6 W/m²K.
Pricing is project by project, because glass specification genuinely moves the cost. We will price what your drawings actually show and tell you where the money is going.
Large areas of glass need thinking about properly. A big south or west-facing glazed elevation may benefit from solar-control glass to help manage heat entering the building. These aren’t reasons to avoid big glass. They’re simply things worth getting right early.
