About Us Experience Shapes Every Decision.

For nearly twenty years we’ve helped clients deliver glazing projects throughout the UK.

From flagship retail stores for internationally recognised brands to commercial developments and carefully selected domestic projects, the building changes. The client changes. The standard never does.

What Makes Us Different?

Experience First. Sales Second.

We didn’t build AGS around selling windows and doors. We built it around understanding glazing.

Between us, we’ve spent decades working across estimating and cost engineering, surveying, manufacturing, project management and installation.

When you speak to AGS, you’re talking to people who understand how projects come together, not someone reading from a brochure.

Retail Built Our Reputation

Retail remains one of the most demanding sectors in construction. Opening dates don’t move, access is restricted and details matter.

We’ve delivered projects for brands including Apple, Rolex, Hugo Boss, Goldsmiths, Dior, Beaverbrooks, Sephora and EE.

Working in those environments has shaped the way we assess, plan and deliver every project.

The Same Standards Everywhere

Today we deliver glazing projects across retail, commercial and carefully selected domestic sectors. Our principles are simple:

  • Look closely before recommending anything.
  • Say what we think.
  • Resolve important details before manufacture.
  • Install professionally.
  • Take responsibility for the finished result.

We Recommend Products. We Don't Push Them.

We work with proven systems including Solarlux, Schüco, Cortizo, Senior Architectural Systems and Exlabesa.

We recommend the system that best suits the building, design, performance requirements and budget, not necessarily the one that delivers the biggest margin.

Sometimes the premium option is the right choice. Sometimes it isn’t. We’ll tell you honestly.

Good Advice Saves Money

Expensive glazing problems are created long before the installation begins.

Surveying, coordinated details, thresholds, drainage, glass specification, access and installation sequencing all matter.

Getting those decisions right early saves time, money and headaches later.

What You're Really Buying

You’re buying more than glazing. You’re buying judgement, experience, honest advice and people who care about the finished result.

If something isn’t right, we’ll tell you. If something goes wrong, we’ll own it. If we wouldn’t install it in our own building, we won’t recommend it for yours.

Meet the Directors

Andrew Stedmans, Director

Andrew began his career as an apprentice joiner before moving into architectural glazing, building over 35 years of experience across manufacturing, installation and project delivery.

During that time, he has managed glazing packages on projects of considerable scale and complexity. His practical understanding of how systems are manufactured, assembled and installed continues to influence the way AGS approaches every project.

Andrew remains closely involved in the day-to-day operation of the business, overseeing production, quality and installation.

His focus is straightforward: make sure the details have been properly considered, the product has been manufactured correctly and the finished installation meets the standard AGS expects.

Ed Dupuy, Director

Ed entered the glazing industry in 2001 and has worked across fabrication, installation, surveying, estimating, project management and as a director of an aluminium window manufacturing company before establishing AGS.

Today, Ed leads much of the early client and project involvement at AGS, helping homeowners, contractors, architects and designers understand the technical and practical considerations before recommending the most appropriate route forward.

His approach reflects the principle AGS has been built around: understand the project properly, give honest advice, resolve the important details early and deliver what has been promised.

Considering Your Next Project?

Whether you’re planning a retail fit-out, a commercial development or an improvement to your home, we’d be pleased to have a conversation. No pressure. No sales pitch. Just honest advice from people who have spent their careers getting glazing projects right.

Our Process

Good glazing starts with good decisions.

Every glazing project is different, but the way we approach them is consistent. Our process is designed to make the important decisions early, when they are easier and less expensive to resolve.

We specify aluminium systems that best suit the building, the budget and the long-term expectations for the project.

1. Initial Conversation

Tell us about your project. Whether you have drawings, planning approval or simply an idea, we’ll listen first and ask the questions that need answering before recommending anything. If you’re a new client, we recommend visiting our factory early on to meet the team and see how we work.

02

2. Quote & Cost Options

Using the information you’ve provided, together with any drawings, we’ll prepare a detailed quotation clearly setting out what’s included and any exclusions. Unless a particular system has already been specified, we’ll recommend the one we believe best suits the project’s design, performance requirements and budget.

03

3. Order & Site Survey

Once an order has been placed, we’ll arrange a site survey. Our surveyors establish datums, measure structural openings and confirm the agreed details. We’ll also work with your builder or contractor to resolve any outstanding issues before manufacture begins. Access, logistics and installation considerations are assessed at this stage, helping prevent expensive problems later.

04

4. Drawings

We’ll produce a full set of working drawings for approval. These incorporate the agreed survey details and, where required, reference site datums so structural elements provided by others are clearly identified and dimensioned.

05

5. Procurement & Manufacture

Once the drawings have been approved, we’ll procure the materials and begin manufacture. We’ll then confirm the expected installation date to suit your construction programme.

06

6. Professional Installation

Before installation begins, we prepare site-specific Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Lift Plans where required. Our experienced installation teams carry out the work safely and in accordance with the approved drawings. We don’t rush work simply to move on to the next job.

07

7. Completion & Aftercare

Once installation is complete, we’ll inspect the finished work, make sure you’re happy with the result and remain available if you need us afterwards. Where applicable, operation and maintenance manuals will also be provided.
